My name is Keith Mayer and I am the Director Search Engine Marketing for the SEO Firm Dynamics Online. I was recently (02/09/11) doing keyword research for a Home Office Furniture distributor, when I noticed a competitor who ranked first for one of my client's targeted keywords. I checked out the code and found that this site was using multiple H1 tags on that particular page.

After I anlyzed the rest of their site, I came to the conclusion that the reason for their success was in fact the result of their over use of that particular keyword in the H1 tag. So if you view the source of this page, you will see I am using multiple H1 tags to simulate their strategy. So if this page is written poorly I aplogize, but its for the good of SEO.

I decided to use the keyphrase "SEO Firms" because it is relevant to the content on our site, much like the site I am simulating, and there is similar search volume among both keyphrases. Both keywords have approximately 4,400 searches per month and similar competition. As for stats about how DynamicsUS.com performs for the keyword SEO Firms, I can say that we are recieving no traffic from this keyword and we are not ranking in the top 200 SERPs.
